Omar Nashashibi of The Franklin Partnership, LLP, one of NADCA’s lobbyists in Washington, D.C. discusses some of the latest news in Washington as of February 17, 2015.

Nashashibi reported that the House passed a bill making Section 179 Equipment Expensing permanent, this is important as roughly 70% of NADCA members utilized Section 179 to help them purchase new equipment in the previous year. A bill making the R&D Tax Credit permanent is also moving through the House. In the Senate hearing have begun on the Power Plant Carbon Emissions Rule which will be finalized in June/July of this year at which time we will see additional Congressional involvement.
