2015-3-3 – Update from Washington, D.C.
Omar Nashashibi of The Franklin Partnership, LLP, one of NADCA’s lobbyists in Washington, D.C. discusses some of the latest news in Washington.
Nashashibi reported that on the EPA side the Ground Level Ozone Rule is scheduled to be finalized in October of this year. NADCA has been active on commenting on that and will continue to do so in the coming weeks. The EPA is going to try and reduce the level of permissible Ozone from 75ppb to 65ppb. A revised study from MAN has come out that this rule would cost $1.2 Trillion in compliance costs to manufactures and businesses and reduce GDO by $140 billion a year.
